Please select the number of LOTs you wish to test on your patient. In general, we recommend our colleagues to try TestBiome capsules to check the recipient's treatment feasibility. Practice shows that it is advisable to use at least 4 different donor capsule varieties available as a unit pack before performing MTT: FindBiome capsules are specifically formulated for chronic inflammatory conditions where the duration of treatment is expected to take months to restore the microenvironment.
In case of long-term planned treatment of chronic digestive-organic diseases or ASD/ADHD, a compatibility test is recommended, for which we offer our TestBiome / FindBiome service. During the procedure, stool is collected from selected donors in several rounds, from which 1/2/4 x 15 capsules of a highly scalable, standard density lyophilized suspension suitable for a maximum treatment period of 5 days /LOT are produced. The donation with the best long-term outcome can be selected using the complaint log.
Standard administration: 3 capsules taken before breakfast with 2 dl of water, followed by a 30-minute waiting period. After half an hour, it is recommended to drink 2 dl of liquid again. The first meal can then be taken. Compatibility testing should be carried out for 5 days followed by a 3 day break. For both TestBiome and FindBiome, it is recommended to keep a food and complaint diary to facilitate evaluation.
Most clinical trials and systematic reviews demonstrated that some minor adverse events, like abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, and low-grade fever, were transiently observed post FMT, whereas uncommon severe side effects were often related to the possible complications of endoscopy and sedation [1], [2].
